Because the guy making the alt can see that everyone expects alt-makers to have spotted the correlation between creating "Hi I'm New" topics and the alt getting caught and would therefore expect the alt-maker not make a topic to not draw attention to themselves, so by making a topic they're doing something people expect someone with an alt not to do (because it would get them caught) and therefore dispel any possible suspicion that they were an alt.
I admit I had to read that twice to fully understand it.
So anyway, seriously, please give me ways in which I can redeem myself (once again, without killing myself, leaving, harming myself in any way, etc.).
