I have played all of them and personally like 3. 3 is fun because the graphics are somewhat better, it has more rides and coasters, "Coaster Cam", Creating awesome laser and fireworks shows, updated terrain editor, and is more realistic.

I loved 1 and 2 but there was just something that felt wrong about 3. I only got through a few parks before I got bored and quit. 2 is definitely an improvement over 1 in terms of content, plus you can make some awesome scenery with custom buildings and such. Bit too much garbage included though. Do we really need dozens of food and drink stalls?

2nd and 3rd are cool. Two is a classic and is one of the few games that runs on my laptop and Three is purely awesome.

I didn't like three as much because of how different it was.

I like 3 because you can make insane roller coasters and other things but I also like 1 because it has a very nostalgic feel to it.

If anything, I say get the first game.

Three also has the family designer tool. I think that's pretty cool, you get to make your own families and watch them go on your rides.
