The whole railing is brush based.  Do you guys think the fireplace is a bit out of place?

Well, there's no chimney, and it's a tad small.  Though the size could make it seem different after other stuff in the room is added.

Is it just me, or does mapping take a really long time?

Yeah, i guess I should make it be "in" the wall.  And I should populate the room a bit more instead of playing with shadow controls like this:

It doesn't at all, the reason it took me so long to post a screenshot like that was because I was just not doing anything.

It's not your mapping but mine. Whenever I do work on a map, it takes a while to actually get stuff done. It might be that I'm new to mapping.

Looks much better to me.

Added furniture.  Looks way better.

This is why Valve's lighting stuffs is great.

Fully textured the entryway

The lighting on the ceiling above the fireplace is weird, but i don't think that is fixable, is it?

I dunno.  It's really odd.

I would map if I had the patience.

Everytime I try to commit to something I give up halfway :c

I meant a bit as in the time it takes me to get back to mapping.

Make the glass able to be shattered :D
