Open equipment and inventory (STUFF and BAG icons at the bottom) then either drag the clothes onto your character or shift click them to equip or dis-equip

THIS IS WHAT CHRIZ PREDICTED, now stop being a bitch and learn to play right. Perma death is practiced in this game, and names are to be unique. You don't delete characters, you get them killed. Or get fishing and swimming toggle swimming, ??? dead char.

I'd like to point out that wouldn't matter, you might either be a) In one of the newer outer grids with a hell ton of mines or b) Very near civilization which would be good or bad depending on the people or c) somewhere in the wilderness in the central grids, where no one is, and no one to be reached :c

For starting, I suggest getting branches from trees to make fires to gain LP (don't forget to light them). Then when you have 200 LP get lumberjacking. Make a stone axe by chipping one stone off a rock and getting 1 branch. Then chop some trees until you have another 200 LP and get carpentry. It's basically a must have skill.
