I think the reason there can't be a huge village collaboration of Blocklanders is because Colten would be a whiny bitch ranting about how everyone is stupid and this game is a waste of time, and people would argue over who gets to kill him.
The village would probably completely fall apart because of all the drama. People would get angry at each other and senselessly try to get revenge or people would accuse things of others or people wouldn't do what they promised to. And even if they did find a way to cooperate, the leader would probably be a tyrant or wouldn't do their job at all. This is just speaking from what I've seen on this topic and who've I've privately talked to, though. :c
On the other hand, with careful selection and with find certain grounds, a person probably could make a decent settlement with numerous Blocklanders. c:
