I'd like to know what the otherwise is for.  What's wrong with it?
Tell me why you buy a computer that is overpowered that you can play at maximum settings on any game you play, and then after 5 years you will have trouble keeping the same path and have to lower the settings to prevent low FPS?

mctwist, the point was to buy a machine that is upgrade-able and lasts for at least 4-5 years before having a need to upgrade it again. It's decently built, but the graphics card (same as mine) is still a glorified Geforce 9800 GT so it's not the top-of-the-line (The card costs around 120 dollars). I do however, like the power efficiency, mobo, and the CPU.

wowww

whered you get the money to buy that thing?

The whole point is that he won't have to upgrade constantly.

Stop being a jealous little prick.

Yeah, the only thing I want now is a quad core CPU, that way I wouldn't need a decent upgrade for another 3-4 years before having to replace the GPU for a newer card with dual cores.

The whole point is that it's overkill now so that he won't have to upgrade later.

I rather save my money for more important stuff. I admit that my computer isn't the best one, but I do know that I bought it 4 years ago for about $800, and the only upgrade I made was on the HDD for $130. I needed the space.
I can still play on it with a high settings on my games, and I probably wont upgrade it more in the next few years. Maybe RAM if I install Win7.

But that's me...

I can still play on it with a high settings on my games

Because you're playing four year old games.

Funny how that works.

Dude major waste of money. You didnt need any of that crap, I spent 200 dollars on my laptop and I can run Pong on high settings with just a little bit of lag when the ball hits the paddle :/

Heh. Yeah, is it the new Windows 1.0 with an Intel Pentium 1?

You know you have a good computer when it's liquid cooled. I wonder if it over-clocks...

stuffty computer can be water-cooled too bro.

Would you sell the old Graphics card?
