The Passing for L4D2 is out! R.I.P Bill :(

Valve promised to keep releasing DLC for L4d1 other than making a whole new game.

They said They would add all melee weapons and new survivors to l4d1.

Microsoft kept them from making a ton of DLC and made Valve make another game.

Or so I've heard.

Because The Passing takes place after all the original L4D campaigns, though it takes place between the 1st and 2nd campaigns of L4D2.
