One of my good friends, Foshane, IRC'd me asking if he could join Krypt. I said, "Sure dude, what would you like to apply for? Building? Modeling?" He said, "Building." I told him to go ahead and make an app. He came to the Krypt server and asked if he could load something. Unfortunately, my RTB Server Control is not functioning for some reason, so I could not make him admin to load. He said he'd just try to recreate the load instead.
Later, he came and said he was done. I checked it out; it was a hill-like structure. He said that in the save there's a tree on top of the hill. He asked me if I wanted to go to his server to look at the whole thing, so we went over there and he loaded it. Sure enough, there was a huge tree on top of the hill. It was kind of neat looking, but was not Krypt material. I asked him if he had anything else. He loaded a couple things, one of which was a small town he and a couple friends built; it was unfinished, yet there were a few finished houses. He showed me the ones he had built on his own, two of which were very low quality, inefficient builds. The third was a very nice-looking two-story house. I liked it almost immediately after seeing it, and so I said, "This one I like, the other two are meh." I checked out the interior, and really the only bad thing was the choice of colors on the first floor (brown, bright red, and bright green don't go together). It was, overall, a pretty nice build. But, there was something about the whole thing that didn't seem right. It wasn't at all his building style, and from seeing the other two builds, I highly doubted he built it, even though he repeatedly told me that he did in fact build it by himself. I reserved my doubt and said, "Tell you what, I'll take some screenshots and show them to the other admins, and we'll make a decision later. I also have to check with people to make sure that you did really build this." He said, "Okay," and I started taking the shots. As I was taking the last one, he says, "I'll just come out with it. I didn't build this. I just really badly want to be in the clan," and proceeded to destroy it.
I'll admit, I was extremely disappointed. But, I was focusing more on the fact that he had the guts to tell me himself, despite being after the fact, instead of letting me find out for myself later. Foshane is not barred from re-applying, and he's agreed to create a new build, entirely his.
