Don't run away the moment you start it up and can't do anything useful/don't like the graphics.
Takes some time to get used to everything and learn how to do things. But it's fun afterwards.

How do I unlock weapon crates?

Depends, there are some jobs that are hard (AI) Some that require a good amount of management (Quartermaster) and some that are down right loving annoying (Clown)

I recommend reading about them on the wiki.

click on them unless they are locked

if locked then bring out you ID then use it on crate ( your level might not be high enough ).

Because the geneticists on the station are ALLWAYS able to do that. More of the times i end up being deaf and blind if i go anywhere near geneics
