here's how not to suffocate if there's a hull breach nearby, or you're working in an oxygen-tight room

you need:
-breath mask  (you CAN and WILL spawn with it. put it on for the other item to work)
-any carriable oxygen tank  (if you're lucky you can spawn with an emergency one, also located in emergency closets all around the station)

-equip breathmask
-hold tank in one hand
-click tank
-set release rate to 16 or a bit higher (15 or lower won't help you worth stuff)
-open valve
-free oxygen unless you stuff the tank in your backpack or drop it

I figured it out when Medbay was airtight from the recent hull breach.  One guy fell over, so I dragged him out because I couldn't just hand him the oxygen tank.  He stood up after a minute.

Derp. If you don't know how to do this within the first day of playing this game you are most likely dead for loooong periods of rounds.

In other words, the singularity is way too easy to sabotage. I swear, every other round someone lets that thing out...

I don't even know HOW to sabotage it without a bomb...

or you could pull a feep and make an impenetrable fortress inside it.
make glass walls so anyone trying to break into the area will get zapped by the singularity field, tile the grounds and lattice them, take out the singularity generator, fill the room with air, make a nice little room you can walk around in and make it so you cant go near the lazer so you dont get shocked, then chill there for the entire round.

you wont get killed if you make proper walls since they need to get close to it to get rid of the walls and the laser will shock them.
