Have an 8x8 are something in the 6th slot or something.

Dupe an 8x8.

Press Q to close your tools, and go wherever.

Press 6 and pull out your 8x8.

Plant the brick.

Old = New

No, it would plant the duplicated build. I use it all the time that way.
