Author Topic: Religious Stupidity  (Read 34718 times)

Nature is net decaying. You have no evidence that it is, other than your ignorant opinion.

And the mysteries I'm referring to are things like, the sun the moon, the stars, galaxies, the sky, clouds, thunder, rain, snow, the seasons, rainbows, tress, rivers, oceans, light, sound, and electricity. These are the things that were once explained by a god, but we have the answers. Christianity just morphs itself around these discoveries because it's convenient.

Umm bro, we know how gravity works. Matter, when collected in large masses, attracts other matter. That's why you fall to the ground, or why the Earth orbits the sun, or why the moon pulls the oceans to create the tides. It's not a very hard concept to grasp.
It has been proven that energy is eventually turns into a useless form, this happens very slowly over time. This same principle is why there is no such thing as 100% efficiency.

Yes, we have discovered more about how God does these things. Do you know anything about what the Bible actually claims? The Bible's last addition was almost 2000 years ago, and the actual content has not changed since then. It didn't conveniently wrap itself around new evidence.

Yes, we do know what gravity does. We haven't yet discovered why it does it.

WHY does matter attract matter? We realize it does, but why?
Exactly.

Exactly.
Thank you. What side are we on, again? (I didn't take the time to read the rest of the topic...)

However, religions are different, and overtime, like everything else, it has changed.

I have a zero tolerance for bullstuff like this.

Seriously, forget you.
... That statement did not suggest that in-universe laws apply to outside-of-universe laws. In fact, quite the opposite. I am not understanding what you are trying to say.

NO! You know you haven't! Oasis, you are merely in denial! Jesus is your savior.......you just don't know it yet.
Noooo!

By the way, how did I miss a religion thread? This is my life blood...

Thank you. What side are we on, again? (I didn't take the time to read the rest of the topic...)
Do read it then.

Actually, it has been tremendously. May denominations rewrote and reorganized parts of the Bible, and translating it has been quite the challenge. Note to mention all the missing pages, Oi.

Because Jesus is entering your life once more.

Offtopic: In spanish, Jesus is pronounced "Hey Zeus"

"To assert that the Earth revolves around the sun is as erroneous as to claim that Jesus was not born of a virgin."

Also, abiogenesis.

Well yeah. They're slurred together into a single name.

Anywho, I don't see much of a reason for arguing here. What does it matter if other people believe something different than you?

1. If you're religious, you shouldn't have to defend what you believe in, nor should you try to press it upon others
2. If you're not, you shouldn't try reasoning with those who are very firm in their beliefs in an attempt to dissuade them nor should you go arguing when a religious person starts talking about their beliefs.

Everyone is entitled to their own views and beliefs. It's their choice as to what they want to believe in, not yours.
