Author Topic: Xamples guide to keeping fit and gaining muscle endurance for young teens  (Read 13134 times)

I don't think he's trying to. It's a helpful reference for anyone who wants to, though. I've lurked in the "Post real life pictures of yourself" thread long enough to get an idea of how many forum members are overweight - so when they feel like changing that, they have a helpful guide right here.
I'm not

But then again, I'm barely a teenager so I don't naturally have much weight due to high metabolism.

I'll have to post the video later tomorrow, I can't access youtube on this computer, but I can on my other one. So I'll have to get you a video. And if I have to, I'll make one.

OK one last exercise before I go. Lay onto an inclined bench with dumbells. Go straight out from your chest with both dumbells. Go down to your sides so that your arms are spread like you are batman about to jump off a building. Hold it for about 2 seconds, then go back up. Do about 15 of these. And ass my coach always says"ADD WEIGHT YOU pusillanimous individual!"

maybe because some kids/teens feel a little insecure about their bodys and want to look and feel better and possibly even get a few girls interested in them

The only girl interested in me is hannah, who is my sister, and I'm fine with that lul

Everyone needs to shut the hell up.

Why is it that every older blockland member isnt bashing this and we have all you stupid kids saying "dis is legoz".

God shut up.

You have no idea how many teens like to get information like this off of other teens. Sure you can google it. but it's not the same as reading it from another teenager your age who is getting results.

Also as Ephi said, we've all seen most of your photos in the photo thread. 50% of you are overweight and a good 30% more of you are skinny and nerdy. In no way at all should this forum be saying anything bad about this.

I dont feel like working out
I dont feel like jogging
I dont feel like going anywhere
I walk for like 6-7 hours per week by forced shopping with my mom.
I cant ride my bike past a certain stop sign
and I already know how to play basketball. I prefer my skinny and nerd-ish look.

riding bikes are good for building up leg muscles and endurance/stamina and also helps in the factor is it doesnt damage your muscle or joints since its a nice fluid motion but there is that resistance there... but jogging is definatly better for endurance/stamina, losing weight, keeping fit and it also raises your heart rate quicker so you dont have to do it as long as if you were to ride a bike.. so all up id suggest riding your bike one day and jogging the next but if you only want to do one i would suggest with whatever suits your requirements heres a list below so you can choose

Jogging: better cardio in a shorter amount of time, helps lose weight quicker than cycling, better in general for keeping fit, will help you get abs
Riding: helps tone leg muscles as, will keep you fit, will help give you abs

P.S. if you consider riding id say 2 hours of riding would be the equivalent of a half an hour jog

Never once did I flame this topic. In fact, I gave ideas for lifting. Oh no, here comes another. An unlikely one, but it works. I don not recommend this for anybody unless they have lower body strength. First off, you need a tractor tire, yes, a tractor tire. You lay it down flay onto the ground. What you do for this is Get into a good position, DO NOT BEND OVER TO DO THIS!!! Doing that will cause you to throw out your back and can lead to a hernia. Straighten your back and bend your knees to get down to the ground. Get your fingers under the tire so you have a good grip on the tire. Using ALL your body, lift up the tire, once it is high enough, shove your knee under it so that it doesn't fall over. Then continue to push it up until it is standing up. BUT WAIT, THERSE MORE! Don't simply stop at the top. The second it reaches the top, SHOVE THAT BITCH DOWN! Repeat
