Author Topic: Vehicle model crashes game?  (Read 1158 times)

When i spawn my model using the mission editor it works fine, When i extract the jeep and replace it with my model the game crashes when spawned? (I don't have the default jeep enabled then)

a console.log of the crash would help.

have you tried with no other mods?  mabye something is conflicting.

1. Do you have the collision mesh?
2. Do you have the joints hub0, hub1, hub2, hub3 and mount0, mount1,..
If yes, check your spelling.
3. Don't make the joints connected.

1. Do you have the collision mesh? - Yup
2. Do you have the joints hub0, hub1, hub2, hub3 and mount0, mount1,.. - Yup
If yes, check your spelling.
3. Don't make the joints connected. - Yup

Wawe 2:

4. Do you have the groups named properly? (No numbers at the end, only the col-1)
5. Is it centered on the axis? (That doesn't really matter, but anyways)

If you allow, I would like to take a look at the model.

I downloaded the model and all I can see are two smooth shaded cilynders with no joints or meshes.

Is it overly complex/hi-poly? Some computers lag (and occasionally crash) with an extremely complex and detailed model. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Not really, + I can spawn it with the mission editor.

It's possibly the wheels messing with the collision model. If you are using blender, the collision mesh should be put on a different layer.

Problems:

-Collision boy is just a box, it can't have a custom shape
-The materials must not end with a number

And, flying vehicles don't need wheels. But since you added hubs, I left them on.
