Portal (with the same code base across platforms) is one fifth as likely to crash on a Mac than on Windows.
Now stop raging at macs. They can run Portal better than Windows.

Windows will have nice clear images while macs will have poor grainy images.

No, I have a Macbook pro and a mac pro (mac with best processor + graphics card). Mac pro could probably play it better than pc. Heck, an Imac could play Portal better than a PC.

Keep telling yourself that.

Actually Im a Mac, And Portal running on a Mac is actually very Glitchy... the Objects sometimes fall through the floor, you see a white screen, it gets to Bright... :/

Mac can play portal better.
Windows can play everything else well.

It may crash less, but it runs at a lower FPS on the same hardware.

An OS with handpicked hardware and custom drivers optimized by the OS maker is more stable when dealing with video related tasks than an OS which tries to be compatible with as much hardware as possible. This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Microsoft sells software. Apple sells computers.

I don't get it.

It says it's 1/5th more likely to crash than windows and yet everyone is saying its better?

One fifth as likely to crash = %20 higher chance of crashing = worse?
