Ps1-2 emulator plox

PS1 Emulator

I don't know of any good PS2 emulators but if anybody has any suggestions I'll update the thread. Wikipedia suggests a few, try them and tell us how it goes.

Tyrian is a top-down shoot-em-up for DOS that was released as freeware back in 2004. You can grab it here. Check out a gameplay video here.

PS2 emulator.  I've never gotten it to work, though, and even if you can get it to run, it doesn't emulate every PS2 game.  Still, it's the best one out there, so I'm told.

Added a link to World of Spectrum, I'll test a few emulators too. You can find a ton of them on the site for nearly every platform from computer oses like windows and linux, to smart phone oses like android, iphone and symbian, to handhelds like the ti89, palm, psp, and the ds to consoles like the dreamcast and the wii. But I need to pick out one for the main post, preferably one that's cross-platform.

I wish I didn't have a PSP-2000 so I could have easier access to emulators on it.

Anybody know if dolphin would be able to use my brawl replays? :o

I was thinking about a way to put replays on youtube and doing it with a emulator was the only way i could think to do it
I can't dump my disks though :(

This is way too much bother, So i won't bother.

I could never figure out how to run DOSBOX, I never read the site fully though. Could anyone help explain on the matter?

I just dragged and dropped the .exe file on the dosbox shortcut. Hurr. Stupid Me: 1

Bump.

Got some NES and SNES emulators for my Wii (homebrew) but I can't remember any of the good classic for them, anyone know of any?

PCSX2 is pretty popular. I've seen it used a lot and have used it myself without issue.

How the hell do you use/install Mupen64Plus in windows.

There's hardly any documentation and what is documented is usually for Linux.

I'm surprised how easy that was, Now i just need to find out how to make it read from my SD card :s

Just a bump to remind people this great reference thread is around.

Also I've noticed recently that people are trolling emulation threads with comments about piracy. Please note that people are innocent until proven guilty and it's not your responsibility to go around and interrogate everyone on the legitimacy of their games. Piracy is not welcome here, but emulation discussion is just as welcome here as any other game thread so you should show posters the same courtesy.

I'd also like to say KegaFusion's netplay is brilliant and works flawlessly out of box. It uses direct IP connections and it's very simple to use. I also tried sweet lassi for the first time at an Indian restraint (I didn't write that section my friend did) and it was very sour. Turns out it's made with plain yogurt and not the sweet vanilla yogurt I was expecting.

Anyway, I'd be more than happy to answer any questions about ZSNES, dosbox, or FUSE. Especially dosbox, that's one that I'm really familiar with. I've got a couple of friends who use Project64 and MAME I talk to on a daily basis so I can get answers from them. If you've got questions about something else hopefully other people will try to answer them.

If I can ever figure out how to get the copy of DOS I have to extract itself correctly (Microsoft unhelpfully packaged this in the most annoying format possible), I'll probably add a section on running a REAL copy of MSDOS in a virtual machine. It's a lot of fun. Since this is the emulation megathread I might as well throw in emulating whole computers right?
