I was simply stating the weapon isn't as bad as you make it out to be.
I play as a spy to clear a sentry, then Self Delete and play some other class.
It is bad to me because it undermines the spies purpose, much like the Chargin' Tard/Eyelander.

I guess it is just how you play the game, I only use the knife unless I'm spotted or can easily get a shot

spys are for getting behind enemy lines undetected and getting fast kills, ambassador does that

True, but it depends on the situation. I was just giving an example. Besides, you might have to flank him because he's pro/aimbot.
One sniper can't take on 2+ people behind cover.

I play the game the way it was originally intended.

I thought they were supposed to sap sentries and get rid of heavy/medics? Lotta good the ambassador does.

That's the point. The knife is considered the spy's primary. You're supposed to backstab, not run amok and do little to no damage to a base.

He may not be alone, the team that sends a guy to flank him may also be being attacked in the same area by say a demoman, a heavy, and a soldier

Dude, the revolver is an amazing gun.
You do realize you could kritz charge one and devastate, 120 damage per crit.

Spy's primary is Revolver, his melee is the Knife.
When you spawn you hold the revolver.

We are talking about one sniper on top of a tower. Regardless a solider could knock them off with a rocket anyway.

Or, y'know, send a sniper and bodyshot him. Problem solved. That, and if you even look at a sniper his scope jumps. It's ridiculous.

Ubering a spy is stupid.
The main weapon you're supposed to use as a spy is the knife, because you can insta-kill and it's your lifeline.
Revolver is your second line of defense at range.

revolver is secondary, knife is primary

When you spawn as a demo you hold the grenade launcher, but the sticky launcher is his primary, according to the loadout screen.

I've took out a medic in 1 hit using the ambassador, then backstabbed the heavy before he realised I'd killed his medic. All I'm saying is it's how you use the gun.

Basically it's how you use it that counts (don't you loving dare)

I want to destroy sentries - Use a demoman
I want to kill people - Use anything other then spy
i want to be a spy - Hide in a corner for 5 minutes waiting to kill a single engi (but then a demoman comes in and does it for you)

When you spawn as a demo you hold the grenade launcher, but the sticky launcher is his primary, according to the loadout screen.
Both are primaries in a way.

You must have been in backstab range of the medic to get the heavy, unless he's dumb and not very attentive.
