Author Topic: Fallout 3 Game of the year edition help  (Read 1141 times)

I recently bought fallout three GOTY edition, as soon as it had it I pressed play, It continued to the main menu and pressed "New" when it started to switch to the first slide. The game stopped working and then it was closed

I am running windows seven and it came default with the computer,Other steam games work.

It's not your fault or your hardware, Fallout 3 just HATES Windows 7 (and vista for that matter) but loves XP.
Seriously, I ran it on a vista machine and it just crashed all the time.
Then I tried running it on 7, same deal just with a FEW less crashes.
But when I run it on XP the game NEVER crashes or has any real problems at all.

I always crash though i haven't even gotten too the game yet

The only issue I've had running it on Vista is that it does not want to open back up if you accidentally alt+tab out of it. Seriously, no other issues come to mind and I have 12 hours of play time already.

I just won't work D:

Do you have anything called "Asus Gamer OSD" on your computer?

thats not just vista exclusive.

You need to recalibrate it to your monitor, especially if you have 2.

I have one and how do I?

What are your specs?

Fallout 3 runs fine on my Windows 7.

Not for me, everything works great on highest settings.

Try downloading a save from fallout 3 nexus and loading instead of making a new game.
