This.
Also, using oil actually does harm the atmosphere, but not as bad as Obama says it does.
It's just part of Obama's plan to end oil useage. He's targetting the public and making us think oil is bad, when really there are absolutely no side-effects to using or obtaining oil at all.
Stupidity is a plenty.

Carbon emissions of burning oil is damaging to Earth's climate in large amounts, and with the modern society's use of oil, it has reached its damaging point. Large amount of CO2 actually absorbs more heat from the sun, and as the air is heated in the world, icy areas such as the North and South Pole actually will and are melting.

Now, you have to understand, ice reflects the sun's rays and water absorbs it, correct? Well, when there was a balance of reflecting and absorbing, there were no massive chain reactions as they are now. Once the ice begins to melt, there is more water to absorb heat then ice to reflect it.

I think the only good thing about this oil spill is it might push for the US to become less reliant on oil and use other energy sources. Now to say that this happened because of a "plan" was incredibly stupid.

You could start a car with all that oil

i think it's sad.  :panda:

You know how hard it would be to switch from oil to other energy sources?
You can't change one thing and expect nothing to happen. For every action there is a reaction.

Ruin the Earth or stop driving your car?

First one sounds like a party

I think this oil leak is actually a fantastic thing. We might finally start some serious attempts to transition to a different energy source. :D

Well, maybe. :c

Oil is good for the water and living things. Thank BP
