Awesome Cabbie

made it from the ground up myself- the only thing that i didn't do personally was the music, which i found on youtube.

it's only got one mode as of right now, which will probably become a minigame at some point, Demolition Run: you're invincible and not even phased by these cars that are spawned, so get moving and crash into as many as possible. stringing together collisions starts combos, which increase your score even more

move around with the cardinal keys, do an Awesome Boost from a stop by pressing back, then holding down the throttle. you make tighter turns the slower you're going: skid by letting go of the throttle while you turn, or pressing down while you're still rolling

don't hit walls too hard or you'll spin out entirely

going out of the course will send you back where you started

the controls are kinda touchy, trying to figure out a legitimate fix

feedback would be cool

What's it coded in?

Bushido posted it; it's probably in Game Maker.

it totally is

but i don't know if that was an insult or not :(

Well, you've said before that you can't code and you used to make fighters in Game Maker.

i can't code in torquescript

not particularly reliably and/or well, anyway

God turning is so wonky. Sometimes it'll turn and sometimes it won't.

And you've made fighters? Can see? :o

turning at speed is really easy, so keep the button held down

also nofu

Other than the turning being way too sensitive, this is the best Game Maker game I've ever played. :D
(I need to get better at GM)

Wanderlust.

At speed you can hardly tell which end of the car is the front. Maybe add the white/red lights on the front and back?

How is something so simple 10mb?

mostly soundtrack

i could easily give you a kirby air ride style arrow kind of thing, but it's 8-bit: 3 color pallettes
