Primary reason I hate Avenged Sevenfold summed up in one post;
The fanbase is primarily whiny goth friends who wear sweatbands with skulls, say stupid stuff like "A7X 4 LYFE" and refer to Avenged Sevenfold as "A7X". Protip, "X" is not pronounced "fold" you loving handicaps.
As for the music, it's mediocre, the guitar is obnoxious, and the singer is just irritating.
I wouldn't hate them so much if their music didn't inspire a generation of cigaretteot goth posers walking around in hoodies and sweatbands and hats in the middle of goddamn summer claiming they are 'unique' or 'original' even though the buy the same mass-produced bullstuff as all their other friend friends.
Since when did liking a certain band become a source of stereotyping?
I like a song or two from A7X (you gonna kill me?), and I don't wear hats, I don't wear sweatbands, and I don't wear hoodies.
Since you're so into Metallica, I'm going to assume you have extremely long hair, you play one of the three vital instruments of rock, and you were born in the 80s. Last time I checked, you've got short hair, you're under 21 and you were just starting to play the guitar.
I know the people you're referring to. Yes, some may like A7X, but that doesn't matter at all. I could dress myself as the Pope, and I would still love listening to American Head Charge, or Green Day, or even Elton John. It's just the music they like.
