It's not like it getting moved to drama is preventing any development, nor release.
I know, which is why I also said:
before providing insight.

Besides, Ephi should at least let this slide, even if some things are off RtB.
At least let Kalph release it/release a beta of it and see how it stands with RtB before providing insight.

You're being an starfish, which I'm sure you've noticed, just didn't care.

Really? Some things?

For the record, I'm not at all worried about competition. There is only room in Blockland for one add-on of this magnitude and RTB is well established as well as unofficially endorsed by Blockland itself. Anyone trying to "compete" with it is just trying to start up another round of mod wars which I assure you Badspot will have zero tolerance for. There's no reason or need for an entirely new add-on hoster, it's a waste of time to replicate every feature RTB has into a new add-on.

If this were just a new chat add-on or something it'd be fine, but the fact that it's trying to replicate every single feature that everyone already has is just absurd.

I'm really starting to think you actually sort of see BC as minor threat. Plus, I highly doubt he's making this just to start "another round of mod wars." Anybody should be entitled to make a mod of any magnitude, whether it competes with yours or not.

Stop being so... infantile.

Aside from the learning experience (which could be aquired otherwise), what would be the point in doing this?

Just a suggestion, but maybe when he finishes it you could actually try it and see how it pars with RtB before just placing it in the failbin.
If you still don't like it, then well, that's all you.

However, if Badspot tends to this matter the way he usually does, then I guess none of it will really matter.

Illidan it's adorable that you feel the need to attack me outside of your designated thread for attacking me, but let's try and keep it all in one place, okay? I've made a very reasonable case for why this is ridiculous, and anyone with any clarity could figure it out for themselves.

This is looking at about ~4 months of development time atleast (I've taken off a couple of months because he can check/use the RTB code for help when he gets stuck) by the end of which you're going to have an add-on that does exactly what RTB used to do 4 months ago. Meanwhile, he could just make a chat add-on and have it done in a single month - and then you guys have an alternative to the agreeably horrific IRC which could even be used in conjunction with RTB.

The choice is obvious to me atleast, but then the loudest voice in this thread has not been one of reason.

A chat sounds like a wonderful idea.

I'm only using your frequented word to describe your behavior in this thread. Boo hoo.

Even as stupid as Kalphiter can be, I would still like to see how BC progresses. For all you know, he could actually make it better than RTB if he actually tries to.

You're just using your mod status as a means of shooting down competition.

Even if it does become better than RTB, that's still effort wasted that could've been put to something else.

Something that could work alongside RTB, rather than against it.

I'm really starting to think you actually sort of see BC as minor threat.
Minor Threat is a good band.

Blah blah blah.

I'm calling idiot on this one. Seriously? Do you even know the endless amount of stuff that's coming out of your mouth. I mean god damn. You have got to be the biggest loving drama whore out there.

Wow. This in drama. What the forget is going on?

You're just using your mod status as a means of shooting down competition.

Just looking through the Blockland Cloud code here...

Code: [Select]
//if(isObject(AddOnsGui))
//{
//   AddOnsGui.delete();
//   exec("./BL_AddOnsGui.gui");
//}

//if(isObject(JoinServerGui))
//{
//   JoinServerGui.clear();
//   exec("./BL_JoinServerGui.gui");
//   JoinServerGui.add(RTBJS_window);
//   RTBJS_window.setName("JS_window");
//}

...

    function loadMainMenu()
    {
Parent::loadMainMenu();
//RTBMM_checkForUpdates();
    }

Looks like you're totally not using RTB code.

You're just using your mod status as a means of shooting down competition.

Looks like I'm just competing against my own code really.

Damnit, I was just about to post that. Anyway, basically Kalphiter is stealing RTB's code and claiming it as his own.

Heres a larger picture anyway.
