Are you using Norton? It always finds my viruses.
Also, don't use Kaspersky. It can't tell a FPS from a blue-screen causing virus.
Lol no.
Norton is stuff, it uses too many resources and detects hardly any virii.
I've got kaspersky and it detected a virus that AVG pro, McAfee and Avast couldn't detect. This is just one instance off the top of my head.

Do you know what the virus is or is called?

Get a good Antivirus thats not Norton. (Besides Rogues)
Like BitDefender, Kaspersky, McAfee, or AVG; Best recommended Antivirus software.
And get a Registry Cleaner/Repair/Fixer. This is likely the cause of you're errors.

If you're computer is laggy: You have a Replicating Worm
If you're computer is missing files: You have a Virus
If you're computer is displaying pop-ups such as ads: You have Adware
If you're computer is showing odd files you dont remember downloading: You have a Vulnerability or a Trojan Virus
If you're computer has other side-effects besides the ones shown above: You have Malware

When you find you're Virus name; search it up here at Symantech. Please note that Antivirus's Virus names are sometimes diffrent, thus you may not find the virus name you are looking for.

I would recommend Kaspersky Antivirus/Intenet Security sence it detects Known, and Unknown Viruses using its Proactive defence.

When you find the file, please send it to me. I will examine it with my Antivirus Software, unless you got the Conficker.c Worm.

You kids and your lack of knowledge of computers.

The hard drive with a magnet is a classic. I've done it plenty of times when my computer got forgeted up. Always worked.

Most people would assume it would forget it up. I have never tried this trick, and to most people it seems to be irrational, like me. If I ever tried this on my computer, my Dad would be like "SON WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" and I would be like "It won't do any damage as long as the magnet isn't powerful" and he would be like "WHERE THE HELL DID YOU HEAR THAT" and I would say "The internet?" and he would say "SON, DON"T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU SEE ON THE INTERNET!"

Spybot isnt a Antivirus.

Spybot isnt a Antivirus. Besides, when inm safe mode the Virus may not even be activated becuase only recommended files and folders like C:\Windows\System32, C:\Windows, C:\Program Files, ect. Not every file in the system is turned on.

Once my dads friend came over and they started talking about a virus on are comp so he used this software to try and find it it took like 10hrs to complete it found

0 viruses!!!!!!!!!!!!
EPIC FAIL

then we used some other stuff like a yr later i know that long and it found them

I had to stop avg from searching last night. A storm came in and I had to shut off the computers. I think I will just wait until tomorrow, my dad knows a guy that knows a lot about computers and was going to upgrade our computer for us.

This sounds like the telltale signs of Adware considering it really is loving with your browser.

It probably took it that long because it had to scan the massive research files inside some weird system directory where you would never look.
