How do you know? You are not in Jagex. They've already said they have the technology to stop botting when free trade comes back, and they've also got 350 employees in their company, probably 150 of them of which are in development. I can tell you right now that the changing the wilderness to be PVPable will be as simple as setting a variable in the area to on (from what I can tell from how PVP servers work). I think the real work will be fixing all the quests to actually be outside the wildy and fixing some quests to be inside the wildy to make them harder. But even then, it's not like there is thousands of quests is there? It will take at max a month to get it all down pact and bug tested.

And I do not believe it is fake at all, a) they wouldn't do a fake vote it would just piss people off who were already original pissed off for the removal of the wildy and b) they are celebrating their 10th birthday, why wouldn't they kick it off with a bang?
