Author Topic: RuneScape - I'm not skilled enough to brush some dirt off this herb  (Read 803809 times)

Goals for next week:
  • 70 Mining
  • 70 Smithing

Want to race? I'm 61 smithing and 69 mining.

Actually to hell with it, I loving hate getting up smithing.

What's a good gold source? I only have 35k right now.

F2P or P2P?

Rune essence and lobsters are only things I can think of for F2P right now. And both of these suck.

Steel bars? Quick cash
I just made 80k on iron bars in 4 hours (20k/hr not good) on f2p.

Rune ess is like 100k per hour. Was at least.

I'd love to have those as a slayer task, from which master did you get it?

Old-Tutorial-Guy in edgeville dungeon.

Which of the 3 types of combat do you use/ think is the best?

Melee
Ranged
Magic

I want to know, I might make a new since my old one wasn't so good.
But he still has a lot of cool stuff.

Magic is multipurpose but expensive
Ranged is weak at first, but gets better - quite expensive if you can't be bothered to pick up arrows
Melee is the most damage taking, and requires 3 skills rather than 1

Magic is my favourite, since it's not just combat.

Vannaka/Vanakka (Combat level: 146)

i'm making a pure with 40 ranged 40 strength and 20 attack.
I'll own

And I hate getting up mining: it is the slowest thing in the world (in F2P).
I just spent 2 hours and only got 10% of the way from 65 to 70. Hurrah.

86 vampires as my next task.

:(

Challenge mode:

First, find a friend who often plays at the same time you do. Next, each of you needs to make a new account (don't pay another $5 if you're a member - keep this account F2P). Then you must decide on a world which you will both join. In order to stick to challenge mode, the following five rules must be followed at all times on these accounts:

1) You must always play on this world, no exceptions
2) You cannot access any in-game stores (NPC shops)
3) You cannot use the Grand Exchange for anything
4) You can only trade with the aforementioned friend
5) You cannot complete any quests except the tutorial

Basically, you and your friend need to / should work together as much as possible, because the only way you're going to get items is through monster drops or creating them yourselves. Archers would be pretty much impossible to play since you cannot create arrows, but if you get them from drops, then it would allow you to train ranged.

It'd probably be best to assign roles, too. One of you can become good at mining and smithing to create armor sets, while the other fishes and cooks food to use while training. Since cooking doesn't take long, that person could also work on Runecrafting. Magic would be limited though, since you could only get runes like Laws from drops.
