My Quick Blue Dragon guide. So I recently got a task of 162 Blue dragons, and I decided to make a simple yet effective guide on the proper equipment and supplies.
Keep in mind that this guide is melee based, I may or may not do a ranged version.
So let's start with the stats.
Minimum stats that are recommended for Blue Dragons:- 75 attack
- 75 strength
- 75 defense
- 75 HP
My recommended stats:- 85 attack
- 80 strength
- 80 defense
- 80 HP
Now for the equipment:
Since we're in Taverly Dungeon my first selection are Falador Teletabs, though cheap and cost hardly anything to make I can greatly reduce the time in walking back to Falador to bank.
Second Choice is the Dusty Key which is obtained in the Dungeon itself by a mini-quest. Although this is considered 1 inventory spot wasted. If you have 70+ agility you don't even need the key and decrease time traveling to and from the dungeon via an agility short cut.
Third is my slayer Gem, although some would consider this another inventory spot wasted because of the update you no longer need your slayer gem on you to do your task, I just like to have it to keep track of how many monsters I have left to kill.
The next 24 spots are reserved for food. I don't take any super potions although you can speed up how fast you kill by taking potions. Lobsters, Swordfish, Sharks, and any high level potato will be perfect. I use lobsters, they're cheap and effective.
Moving onto your gear:
This is what I usually take all the time while meleeing aside from the Anti-Dragon shield I use a rune defender. Always use your anti-dragon or Dragon Fire shield when Meleeing Dragons.
Head: Helm of Neitznot
Amulet: Glory
Cape: Obsidian Cape
Weapon: Abysal whip
Platebody: Dragon
Shield: Anti-Dragon Shield
Legs: Dragon
Gloves: Dragon
Boots: Dragon
Ring: Warriors Ring
The Amulet can be substituted for a Fury, but Glory is just as good an 14 million cheaper.
The Cape is Good, you can also use Fire cape and skill cape as alternatives.
The Whip can be substituted with Dragon Scimitar if training Strength. You must have a one handed weapon. Otherwise you'll burn.
The Anti-Dragon shield is the basic most people prefer to use, you can also use a Dragon-Fire shield which is about 18 million.
The Dragon Gloves can be replaced with the Barrows gloves since they're stronger and if you completed Recipe for Disaster.
The Dragon Platebody can be replaced with either Third Age or Bandos, I just prefer Dragon because between all 3 platebodies they're contested in being the best in the game.
The Dungeon:
In
RED is the route that I take and which is the long way which is what the Dusty key is for, Note: Where it says Lesser demons it looks like there's nothing blocking you from walking that way, it is wrong, there's a barrier where you cannot pass.
In
BLUE is the route that does not require the Dusty key, but requires 70 agility to use the shortcut.
Now that you've followed the guide (Hopefully and correctly) you should pick up the dragon bones AND hides. They're very good money making items, if not keep the bones and use them on a gilded alter which gives you 252xp per bone, as opposed to just burying it which results in 72xp per bone. And you can still make money on the hides.
This is the typical run for me, resulting in killing 12 dragons.

And this is how much money I make PER TRIP:

Each trip lasts about 15-20 minutes depending on volume of people so do the math, I'm making approx. 100k every 15-20 minutes.
