I'm level 99 and have beaten 25 of the quests listed, and you only need 20 to enter.

Not only that but I didn't literally mean a boss or two as in I can only kill one or two, by that I meant that I can probably kill any boss they send at me.  Aside from obvious exceptions.

Really?  I thought the 89 mining would be more impressive.

The smithing is mostly me just smelting the gold I mine in living rock caverns with goldsmithing gloves.

I just smith gold with the gauntlets. Currently, you can make a profit off of the bars so it makes me happy. :)

Well there are plenty of reasons to do it.
You get xp, you get money. It's easy, you can do other stuff while you're smelting.
You barely have to be afraid of prices going up or down as you will always get money out of it, more or less.
So it's kind of win-win. sort of. Kinda like Humidify but better.
