in general its a pretty bad idea to autopath using a door lol

Just get one of the spiders in the room before to attack you at the entrance to fire giants and run through. If you start running right when it hits you, none of the fire giants will attack becauses you're still "under attack". Same goes for the zombies in the moss giant part earlier in the quest.

it's good that that's becoming easier as time goes along.

I hate the new RuneScape. I miss the one back in 2007 and before. That's around the time I started playing (around December of 2006) and it was just great.
