Why I only have 2.7 gigs available in Ram? I am on a 64x bit system, I was on a 32 bit but I just upgraded, any ideas?

Assuming you aren't playing anything or running any programs/applications, Your Operating system requires RAM to work. So that's where the other 300 mb went.
