Author Topic: Six Core Processors  (Read 3684 times)

I wonder how many Crysis needs
you act like crysis has really demanding requirements
recommended for it is an nVidia 8800, that's the loving minimum for BF:BC2

I dont see the use of a 6 core D:

I still have a single core processor, i havent been blessed yet with a dual or quad core :<

But seriously, 6 cores?

I dont know of anything that would need 6 besides running crysis max
Either way, having more cores will allow you to smoothly run more than one program.

You can run Crysis max on 4 cores, enough RAM, and a good video card. I think the least you can have for max on Crysis is Nvidia GTX 260.

What about a quad-core with a GeForce 9100?

Nope.  Graphics need to be upgraded.

You can't play Crysis at all with that?

I don't care about max settings, I just wanna have that sandbox mode.
Farcry 2 also has it. I'm pretty sure it could run the games I want it to. (Crysis, Gmod
(with nukes), Farcry 2, MW2, BFBC2, Just Cause 2, and a lot of bricks on Blockland)

You guys are loving stupid.

Did anybody bother to click the link?

Crysis doesn't use more than two cores.

Am I one of the stupid ones?

unless you were one of the people who were silly enough to think that a game could utilize 6 cores.

You will see the same performance with a dual core as you will a hexa core in Crysis. You guys seem to be forgetting that Crysis has been out for a few years (2007?).

Yay! I'm not stupid!

It isn't 2007 anymore and the average gaming computer can run crysis at least at medium settings. I don't know where all you people are getting the idea that Crysis is completely un-runnable by a non-supercomputer.

yes.

You guys have to remember that when crysis came out the best card we had was the 8800.

Nowadays the processor is no longer a limiting factor in gaming. We just need graphics cards to match them...

Is it bad if I already feel outdated with a Q9650 and DDR2 1066?

:(
bleh, I feel outdated with i7-920 and DDR3 1600(or whatever the heck the exact one is I forgot)...
