It would be used for GSF maps, and it would show jsut a little red blip, indicating your player. But, if your admin, it would show a red blip, and green blips (depending on how many players there are in the server.It would jsut show the map, the player(s), and thats it. no brix, no layers, and no cookies!

Why would you make it for select few maps? Not everyone like/has them.

what about like the switch playertype between topdown and first person/third person? switching with jet or something, that way you can just raise how high the topdown sees, and then use that as the minimap?

Demo? This is sorta how i was planning on it too look, but it dodnt come out quite as expected. IF you press a certain key (you choose), it makes the screen smaller, and fits the map on with the red dot. And if your admin, it shows you where other palyers are, so you dont hafta type in /Spy <name>

the mission editor can generate terrain like images
you could base the coardinates on that
