F.E.A.R Error

so lastnight I bought F.E.A.R from steam it took atleast 14 hours to install It's finally done but when i start it it gives me an error that says
 Failed to initalize client - unknown error
Can anybody help me out with this?

Just restarted my computer and steam now it's redownloading the whole game again

Then it may have not installed properly.
