What's the advantage of a gas gun verses recoil?

Gas piston driven actions, on top of cushioning the recoil of firing, don't have some of the niggly problems with blowback actions.

Yeah I don't see the masterkey system any good for combat at all. And I imagine having a shotgun attached to your combat rifle being heavy as stuff weighting down your gun. I would just rather have a shotgun separate from my rifle.
