Author Topic: Starcraft 2 - Blockland players on SC2 unite  (Read 17535 times)

I have had plenty of matches that go on for a half hour or more. Also what do you consider rush, because most games end for me at 12-18 minutes and people tell me im rushing even though it is fairly far into the game

well it takes like 10 minutes to hit the unit limit lol.

if your not attacking then your not doing anything.

I tried playing Zerg recently, and oh God, there's a lot going on. For some reason, my brain doesn't want to register the whole "select larva, spawn unit" trick. Even after that, I forget to plant more lava in there with the queen.

I'm sensing a lot of terran hatred.

Toss: I would skip zealots completely, get sentries and stalkers. Tech to high templar and psionic storm.
Sentries block the enemy army and provide damage shields for you. Psionic storms rip through MMM balls.

Zerg: I would start swearing and begin making lots of roaches, lots of roaches. Banelings are useful for busting through terran blockades. Also for destroying MMM balls.

Also, I'm now 3v3 gold and 4v4 gold.
Marauders will beat roaches cost wise.  If they are microed, roaches without speed or off creep get kited to death.  Stim is also a death sentence to roaches.  Speed is tier 2 tech.  At Platinum+, it's a bit harder than just going roaches or banelings.
Zerg..

always the same stuff..

spawn pool.... gas gas gas..

roaches or hydras..

mutas if oponent isnt handicapped
Unfortunately, we don't have many options right now.  All we can really do is counter what they do, assuming we can get scouting done.  I usually find that mutas are just not cost efficient enough to use if the opponent has any anti air all ready.

Gotta take map control and start to expand everywhere as well.  Spread creep, stay on top of larva production and use.  Scouting so you can see what your opponent is getting so you can hopefully counter it.

Depends on the unit.  The idea is to get a unit in a large enough number to win early before your opponent has time to tech to a viable counter.

Beat a Terran mech build today.  Barely though, half my base was destroyed and he was starting to get vikings.

Sure I'll bump.

After a couple losses from trying to go void rays or stalkers, I decided to do something different.

Since I was in the back of the 4 bases, I took the opportunity to tech. The 2 front guys were keeping the other team busy by rushing, while I built up about 10 carriers and a mothership.

Needless to say, the game didn't last much longer. Nothing could really stand up to the carriers, since the mothership was cloaking half of them. I took out somewhere around 3/4 bases, including the other team's armies.

If you go up against carriers, your best bet is to manually target each ship individually. Otherwise, the units will waste time on the interceptors.

We should team up for some 4v4 guys.  Who's in?

I find it extremely lame that the only victory tactic is to rush. That's not even fun, I want to see huge battles and strategic placement, not a 5-minute match consisting of just GOGOGOGOGOGOGO. What the forget happened to ceasefire for like 5 minutes so we can have a legit fight and not a button-pressing race?
You should try age of empires: asian dynasties
Lol.

No forget that Age2 is where it's at.

I IdrA vs Morrow in the IEM finals.

Random 3v3 is pissing me off, every other match is my randomized team vs. an arranged team of platinum players ( looked up their profiles) who beat the stuff out of us and game says we're slightly favored so I lose 45 points.

I've been playing the campaign, it's so fun :D!

I may play some PvP later. I still feel pretty slow on getting troops mass produced, though.

That's why I don't play random.

That's why I don't play random.

I mean AT v RT not random race v. set race but I can't tell which you mean so...
