Author Topic: Oblivion: Haggling/Getting Good Prices  (Read 6460 times)

Two Oblivion help topics in two days! Wow! This is also copypasta from the other topic.

After completing "Unfriendly Competition" I have a 3k weapon, a 500 gold weapon, and a 1.5k ring.

I tried to sell these, but they go for horrible prices (3k -> 800 gold, 500 -> 30 gold, 1.5k -> 80 something.)

What are good places to sell these / how can I get better prices?

I really don't understand how to work haggling successfully, and bribing has no effect whatsoever.

First of all, here is the wiki.
You have to haggle, before you sell them I.e Sell the weapons,
up your Mercantile

That should help, just haggle hire.
Can "Hire" be used that way?

Ugh, they won't buy anything at almost-good prices and I wasted 200 gold bribing for nothing.
EDIT: It's because they have no money.

I recently got a Goblin Totem staff for 8k and someone was trying to buy it for 600 gold. Ugh!

Semi-unnecessary bamp because I really want 18k.

forget, I just use duplication glitches and sell all the duplicated items. I've already beaten the game without cheats, so now I can use them without feeling guilty ^_^

How to duplicate after patch?

I don't have the patch. I'm playing 360 version. Ugh. I feel inferior.

i used the infinite money glitch in the 360 one :D

My computer apparently cannot figure out how to work a .rar file. Most add-ons are in a .zip file.

If you could tell me what to do when installing it, I would be really grateful.
