DSi (XL), or wait for 3DS?

I've been thinking about this for days now. My DS Lite is breaking down (small black lines on my top screen, that get smaller during play, and bigger during charging. L button is feeling loose, but it's not that big of a problem really.), and I need an replacement. I don't really want to do surgery on my DS, so yeah.
Which one should I get? :3

3DS, because it has all those retro games, and a bunch of cameras and all that jazzy stuff, and it's got that pixel allocation tilting 3D effect thing :u

Anybody know how that effect words exactly? I thought it titled the screen slightly according to the slider so that the screen would be slightly curved, making things seem to pop out.

3ds is not a spin off of the ds, its the next ds system.

I lol'd. I heard the 3DS is going to be around 249$. Worth it IMO if you look at the games coming out for it. (Paper mario, Metal gear, Golden sun, etc.)
