Go away please.  This and nba jam are perfect for wii.  Do you need online play?  These games are appealing the the split screen market, not the uber 1337 online pwnsorr!!!! market.  Face it, most people probably own at least 4 controllers from Wii.  It supports all of the controllers out there too, so controls won't be a problem.  The only real reason you're whining is the graphics.  Graphics < Gameplay.  Also, they couldn't get it licensed for Xbox.  Rare isn't making it, it's by a company named Eurocom. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurocom )  Cry some more about the lack of achievements, they're pointless.  They just make a number by your name get larger.
You assume because I like online play that I'm ultra-competitive, or that all online players are ultra-competitive, which says to me that you're loving handicapped. All of my friends that I play games with I am friends with over live, so it's simply a convienience that games have an online play. Splitscreen is more of a hassle and an artifact nowadays, as it was invented for multiplayer specifically, but we're in the era of online gaming now. Sure it's fun once in a while but just generally it's outdated, like a drive-in movie theater. I know the Wii supports controllers, I'm not stupid. As for graphics vs. gameplay, I'm not an ignorant forgettard marcem. Of course a game is nothing without gameplay, but it's impossible to argue that aesthetics are not important in games. I love Perfect Dark, but lets face it, the N64 version is so heavily outdated that it's ugly as sin. As for achievements, it's called metagaming, they provide a sense of accomplishment and something extra to a game. No stuff they make your "score" rise, but now you're arguing that scoring is pointless. FINALLY, I didn't know Rare had sold the rights.

In summary, you're an idiot.
Still, the Wii has like no multiplayer base.

Probably because instead of making it organized, they invented some sort of obnoxious code system.
Feels like they just took Modern Warfare and shoved elements from it into Golden Eye, the game looks ruined to me and the feel as well. Regardless of what people are saying (None of which have played) I'm definitely not getting a wii for it let alone buying it in the next 6 years.
I'm going to agree. I just watched the gameplay videos and it looks as if they didn't just update it, they redesigned it quite a bit. Perfect Dark was perfect on the arcade because it was updated with higher-resolution textures and models, but nothing about the core gameplay was changed, even the voice acting was left alone. I think those are important because it preserves the nostalgia.

I forget what the deal is with the licenses, but I think Nintendo holds a chunk of it so the chance of GoldenEye for the Xbox is pretty slim.

I'd like a PC port of GoldenEye and Perfect Dark but I'm pretty sure that would never happen.

It's just a reskin of Quantum of Solace.

Holy stuff, that FN Scar looks terrible.

I'm not saying you have that attitude, I'm saying that it gets tiring to see "xXuber1337Xx12352" or "imleet6234" all day.  It's fun to sit down with brothers or friends and just enjoy the game, set custom rules for a game, and screw around in the game.
All of my friends that I play games with I am friends with over live, so it's simply a convienience that games have an online play.
I find online play to be an extreme hassle, it rarely seems to work when I try to play games with friends.  I don't know if I'm just playing the wrong games or what.

Alright, let's buy 4 consoles just to play with my brothers in my house!  It's DAMN fun to play games on lan or splitscreen, because you are there with your friends.  You don't have to deal with microphones or anything like that.  In fact, so many people wanted splitscreen in Mod Nation Racers that they added it at the last second.

It's in beta, the graphics aren't as good as they will be in the end.  It's not like graphics that aren't as smooth as uncharted 2's will make the game stuff.

But is that extra required?  Nope.

Why not both splitscreen and online? :cookieMonster:

Why not both splitscreen and online? :cookieMonster:
I would like this.

Well, you're in luck.  That's what this game has.

See:  Perfect Dark: Source and Goldeneye: Source.
I know about GoldenEye Source, But I'm more of a SP guy unless it's with friends, although it's still in development so might see that yet.

But I didn't know that someone is making Perfect Dark Source.

The maps in pd source are really good

Online play works fantastically, I loved hosting parties on Halo 2 and Halo 3 online for me and my friends, we played some awesome gametypes and stuff all the time. I think it's either the games you play or the lack of friends to play them with online, because I find it much more fun to start up parties over LIVE or on steam rather than deal with everyone cramming into a room. I don't know about you but I have more than 4 friends.

I'm not saying splitscreen isn't good, L4D had it and that made it neat for co-op play, but I'm saying that it shouldn't be a spectacle today.
You don't have to deal with microphones or anything like that.
Microphones aren't puzzle boxes, I don't know why you have so much trouble trying to operate one.
But is that extra required?  Nope.
Nothing is 'required'. Valve could have shipped Portal without challenge maps, or never updated TF2. Hell, Rare could have shipped Goldeneye or PD without multiplayer modes. They're extra.

Goldeneye is in beta? It ships in 2 months. I'm arguing that the Wii's graphical capabilities aren't up to par with the current generation of gaming, and that's frustrating. I'm not saying GRAPHKS are the most important thing in a video game, I'm saying that we have a precedent for visuals today.

I'm happy it's on Wii.

I dislike the X-Box

It wasn't 2 months away back when it was shown, it's probably improved by now.  Why is it so frustrating?  I've never heard of anyone getting frustrated over graphics.

Oh forget, it has the "+10 XP!" feature that every single loving game has now.  That makes me angry.  Also, no health bars or anything?  It better not have "Get damaged, wait for blood to jump off face".

Oh forget, it has the "+10 XP!"
it has the "+10 XP!"
"+10 XP!"
FFFFFUUUUUU
ENOUGH WITH THE DAMN EXPERIENCE POINTS. THESE ARE FPS GAMES, NOT RPGS!!
