For as much of a windows fanboy I am I would still have her use the Mac, my aunt uses one and she doesn't know stuff about computers so I think it would be better for someone like her who doesn't know and doesn't want or need to learn.

Tom

emulating macOS on a pc is not building a mac lol. it is just using a pc
I don't understand your logic. You do know that Macs have been using Intel processors for a few years now, right? So it's not even emulating.

I'd probably just use a Mac for just work, and a PC for just all-round stuff

yes as second processors. ONLY for running an installation of windows on the side. as macOS couldn't use it.

mac users are kind of dumb and thought "duo" meant "dual"

also im not talking about emulating, im referring to your link. that is USING A PC! that is not using a mac.
you basically just admitted to us with that link, that as a mac user who wants to do more with his computer, the solution was to just use a PC.
you should be embarrassed at your stupidity,

You have to actually have a scrap of intelligence to build a Mac. You can build a PC with sticks, a circuit board, and chunks of stuff.
bahahahahahaha

I was showing that it IS possible to build a Mac (a computer that can run Mac OSX). What does that have to do with someone wanting to use a PC?

a pc running macOS is not a mac. its still a PC.

lol only a mac user would believe that an operating system defines the brand.
what a small world mac users live in.

Tom

Well you right, if you define a Mac as hardware manufacture by Apple.

But I don't think you realize that MAC USE THE EXACT SAME ARCHITECTURE AS PCs. That's why it's possible to run Mac OSX on a non-Apple computer now.

So essentially all you're paying for is the brand.

Pretty much. Of course their brand also has the best customer support.

mac users try awful hard to not use mac. its like they are just lying to themselves. they are to stubborn to just admit they dont really like macs anymore lol.

they will use pc hardware, pc software, emulate windows.
just make the final proper step and get a fully functional pc+windows
then you can join the big boys of the I.T. world.

Pretty much. Of course their brand also has the best customer support.

"Good" customer support doesn't justify a 50% higher price.

Pretty much. Of course their brand also has the best customer support.

so you have broken down for us, your entire devotion to mac is the customer service?
that is beyond jaded. you are a marketer's sucker.

and if macs have so few problems....why are you needing to call them for any support?

Tom

I like macs because it's what I have always used, but I'm having trouble deciding if I should witch to windows for my next computer or get another Mac.

god you are stupid

leave it to a mac fanboy to say something like "well mac is so cool, that we dont even need the mac, we can just use pc"

Something else I happen to know about computers:

YES the "duo" in Core 2 Duo means Dual core, you could get a mac with a normal Intel Core 2 way back when, and they had one core instead of 2. And that Macs have had dual-core support

All Bisjac is doing here is making himself look like an ass. He will never prove anything definitive about PCs being better than Macs. I've been able to do as much with my mac as I could with any Windows computer.

The Mac stereotype was obsolete mid-late '09, when Apple started making  the Unibody laptops. It doesn't make you any cooler if you say mac sucks. If it's not for a reason like "It doesn't have directX" or "my favorite games only work with PC" (also known as a GOOD reason), you will make your post sound like "I hate mac because it's not a PC.

And I've got four PCs, one mac, and a Linux computer, so I'm hardly biased. You can't legitimately pull that card on me.
