Author Topic: New virus locks me out of my "Everything"  (Read 3170 times)

I'm writing to you right now from the other computer in the house because my computer is infected with "Anti Virus Live". Some how the thing weeded itself on to my computer and downloaded a bunch of viruses with it. Basically what the thing does is, downloads itself, downloads viruses, tells you you have viruses, make you buy a premium version of it for only 69.99$ What the forget do I do now? Its locked me out of my control panel, internet, run commands (I cant use batch files), it even tried to stop me from turning off my computer (I had to do it manually). What the forget.

Malwarebytes, go!
If that doesn't work, rename the .exe.
If that doesn't work, use superantispyware portable.
If that doesn't work, use superantispyware.
If that doesn't work, use Panda Cloud,
If that doesn't work, use Microsoft Security Essentials.
If that don't work, use more guns.

Edit:
He said he's locked out of the internet.
He said he's on another computer.
hurr
Just install it on a flash drive.

I am probably being an ass but
Wah Wah Wwwwaaaahhhhhh

Get a better anti Virus.

Anti Virus Live is a Rogue Antivirus.

Use safe mode, shut down the viruses process if any, malwarebytes, solved.

I have kaspersky but apparently I have to "Pay" for that.

I think you can end the process of it in the task manager, if you can still get to it.

1. Download Ubuntu iso or ship a CD to your house
2. Burn ISO to disk
3. Put disk into computer
4. Set boot to disk and it'll boot into Ubuntu, just hit the thing that lets you try Ubuntu and not install it. Then from there you can get rid of all of the stuff.
5. Stop downloading research

cmd+cnt+alt was blocked.

Computer isn't starting: "DISK BOOT FAILURE: INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER..."
