Paying to book a dedicated server is a very good idea! :o
Although I'd be interested to see if several thousand dedicated servers hosted by RTB could lag each other out.. how would that work anyway?

no
don't ruin everything with a loving builder's club\
maybe if it's a single payment

The builders club is exactly what the name suggests - a club. It divides the userbase into those not in the club and those in the club. Given that RTB Premium gives you nothing that you can show off in-game (the badge would only be on the website) I don't see how it constitutes being a club or even dividing the userbase. About 1/5th of players don't even have RTB.

One meaty server running some virtualization software which isolates each instance of an OS/Blockland server to guarantee it's own CPU and memory. I suspect I'd only be running about 4 to 6 servers at once, depending on how that goes. It's definitely far off in the distance, though.

take into account what a richardhole man is:
"HEY I'VE GOT PREMIUM AND YOU DON'T. YEAH, IT'S ONLY LITTLE BENEFITS, BUT forget YOU, I'VE GOT PREMIUM MANG."

Despite its success, RTB isn't an official part of BL. It isn't necessary in order to run and/or enjoy BL. It's a community service. Asking for some money in return for a few minor benefits isn't going to break the game, and it certainly won't create some elite class of users via their personal wealth. Getting upset about something of that nature is akin to being perturbed by the legendary "ID discrimination"; there is no tangible reason to be frustrated or concerned about it.

Yeah I don't see that as being even close to the "my ID is 10k lower than yours" thing. I'd say it's a non-issue.

well, stupid people aside, i guess it'd be good. money is always nice.

Like I said, there's no way RTB will ever make a profit. It's more like "less loss of money is always nice".

I would pay 5 or 10 dollars. Why not give it a try? EDIT: you should also make a bl id system for that too.

oic.
Well, whatever works.

my apologies if this has already been suggested, however ..

you could make it so anyone can donate any amount, but to access "premium" features the donation would have to be above $5 or whatever. so I could donate $20 to RTB if I wanted to and get premium even though I only had to pay $5.

you could have a "Donate for BLID:" which would donate towards unlocking premium for a BLID
and you could have just a "Donate" for people who want to donate who already have/aren't interested in premium, but want to support RTB

I Think it Should be named Donate For Friend. and then just enter BLID and let paypal do rest job

I want this , because i already bought Blocklnad , I am growing over the legos (Not saying they are for children) and need ways to spend cash for the good.
