I just went to my friends house to try out the 360. We played CoD4: WaW's national socialist zombies, which was a blast.
And we also played some Halo 3, Call of Duty 4 MW2, which was fun too. And Soul Calibur IV, and some classic games, like Perfect dark, Banjo-tooie, all XBOX live versions.
I was very amazed since i've never really owned anything better then a Wii. o.o
It was awesome. I'm going to my other friend's house to play PS3 in a moment.

OK guys. Thanks for giving me tips and telling me stuff about the consoles.

I think I'm going for an Xbox 360 Slim 250GB+Free 2nd controller, Free headset, 3 months Xbox live card, NOT kinect, and 2 play & charge cords.

These games:
Cod: WaW, Assassin's Creed, The orange box, Soul calibur IV, Halo 3, Banjo-kazooie Nuts & Bolts,
These Live games:
Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie, Perfect dark, and some other stuff.

Also, my gamertag is going to be Dawngaward, and I'll be buying 12 year cards, so i'll pretty much have Gold as long as I have my Xbox 360.
I'll be getting my 360 on christmas, and all accessories are included, excluding the Play & charge cords and the games, which I'll buy a little bit later.

From what I understand, they're both pretty much the same. I just prefer 360. I don't know why. I bet I'd cope equally well with a PS3.

Even though it isn't on the list, really if there is any console worth buying it is the Wii. If you buy a 360 or PS3 you are paying an assload of cash just for 4-5 good games that aren't on the PC. The wii is the only console that isn't a crappy PC wanna-be, almost no games on the wii are on the PC so you widen your game selection by a lot.

in the end, ps3 and 360 are NOTHING but a poor man's stuffty gaming PC.
