No.

He got on the Pelican with Halsey. stuff happened and they separate ways. They meet up again during a fight and stuff against covenant and then they nuke Onyx but they are trapped (along with other people) in a Forerunner super-structure thingy that's makes them be in some crazy other plane of existence.
