But they were still making money off the first one. Why would you waste money on an entirely different game?

Sure, they're not the same game, but in the same nature; they're both Guild wars. One online game of the same thing would be enough.

Adding more story in isn't going to make the game bad, so what's your problem?

You can't change too much in expansions, it needs to work for people without the expansion so older stuff can't be edited at all.

I'm not moaning, I don't see a point to making an entirely different game.

You can't change too much in expansions, it needs to work for people without the expansion so older stuff can't be edited at all.

The point of expansions is to expand the gameplay, boo hoo if it doesn't work for people with older versions.
