I feel the game is a cinematic experience itself. Its so in depth that I don't need a stuffty remake.
I'm saying that the general idea of Half-Life and MW2 would make a great movie, not copying the game's exact attributes, like first-person/main character doesn't have a voice. Also, don't assume it'll be stuffty. As I pointed out, these could do pretty well if it's made right
I'd watch a team fortress 2 movie, their "Meet the" are really great movie material.

It doesn't seem as movie-fit as HL or MW2. It's a cartoony FPS online game, not an exciting long plot.
This would work. Plus it could add to the original story without hurting the game.

It's going to be another war based movie with a story based on a game with persons and props based on the games universe. That's going to get an Oscar!
A book-movie couldn't be too different from a game-movie, and there were quite a few that really kicked ass (see: Harry Potter).
