Author Topic: Realistic Blood  (Read 6660 times)

Hmm
well, Would it be possible to detect when a bullet hits the player and the angle, tyen fire a projectile out the other side relative to the impact? If so, then realistic blood would be possible.

Tourque has a way if making bullet holes, so if we change the bullet hole texture to a blood splat and applied it to the projectile fired from the player, we could make the illusion of blood sprayin out tue player.

Like, 3 of these projectiles would spray out the back, make some blood on the floor and wall, and 2 would come out the front. More bullets, more blood. And if the player is killed by an explosion or exploding projectile, then they would explode like the current blood mod.
The projectiles would also have a red trail.

Simplified: (Thanks orion)
Maybe it controls how much blood comes out depending on the impact of the bullet

Like if a high speed bullet like a sniper rifle was shot at you, it would create a long, thick, cone of blood.

If you shot a pistol, it would just pinch a little blood out,

and say if you got hit by a rocket launcher, it would act like the gore mod and you'd fall to pieces with blood splattering everywhere.

Lol, sorry about spelling, IPod.

Sounds cool, but would it require engine changes?

I dont think so.

Bullet holes and diring a projectile from the player is possible but checking the angle migh be hard.

could be possible and you can just edit your first post with the modify button you know?

Gore Mod is good enough.

I don't like how a pistol can cause you too explode into a fountain of guts and gore.

Then don't enable it. It's a block building game. Blocks don't bleed.

My god, did I say I had it enabled? I don't have it downloaded, I just thought it would be better than having stuffty explosions of red you cant possibly aim through in a deathmatch.

Now stop flaming me for no goddamn reason, its loving annoying.

I approve of this suggestion. I mean like if a high-velocity bullet travells trough your head you are  not going to drop blood on the ground. It is going to come out of your head with some velocity.

Exactly

Let us gouge our eyes out as they bleed to the floor, our winding impacted skulls spray our blood across the battlefield, some with exposed brain and other organ tissue. One man falls with his intestines bursting outward, a man wielding a shotgun blowing his head into a thick gunky red explosion, followed by the mutilation of his arms and legs.
Bodies of the fighters just pile up into a giant mess of unrecognizable body parts.

They should only describe the current blood mod.

would be cool for headshot that you loose your head and the floor is covered in blood (bad for if your moms around XD) but still would be neat for more realism in replicas of TF2 CS etc. and it would be cool to include a script that you leave a bullet hole of bricks (if its shot) and that the bullet dont disappear after one person like you line up bots and it would go through them all till it gets stuck and stops
