Author Topic: large influx of highly nonreligious people on blockland  (Read 10437 times)

Globally, we are a less gullible generation.  :cookieMonster:

The Flying Spaghetti Monster is real and pirates cause global warming.

i have a picture of god

A girl was making a drawing in class.
The teacher asked "Dear, what are you drawing"
The little girl said "I'm drawing a picture of God!"
The teacher felt confused. Puzzled, she stated "But no one knows what God looks like"
The little girl looked up at her and said "They will in a minute."

I've just been wondering why?
What is it about Blockland that attracts such a mindset?
The internet is basically the "Church" of Atheism, or lack there of (At least from what others and I have seen). The reason it seems that many people in today's world are Atheist is because the world in the last few years has become very small. There have almost always been Atheists, just they weren't very noticed between the other billions of people who weren't.

then why doesn't this community have a large amount of religious people and small amount of atheistic people if that's the global status?

also if you say the internet brings atheism together, mind you that there are a LOT of annoying forgettards on youtube that wont leave me alone

Christains agree to what the bible says.
The bible explains that women are not allowed to talk, or have authority over men, and that slavery is okay, and many other things.

Basically, all Christains are tribal and loveist.

There are under 10 people on this forum who are religious, Probably.

Maybe.

There's more crap on the internet than most religous people want to handle.

I think you're calling me stupid by assuming I am implying there is a microscopic amount of religious people here. I am saying that there are a lot of atheistic people here.

im just wondering why, if theres any sort of connection

Did you get that information on some athiest website, or did you actually read the book?

what's funny is that evolution is a religion

please tell me you're joking
if not you are ignored
hurr im going to attack religious people and derail topic
no

You act like the Blockland forums is the only population that does not believe in a god. Reality is our generation in general is actually becoming more and more non-believing.

please tell me you're joking

I am not joking, I am completely serious.

I will bring up the examples from the book itself, one second....

That's implying every Christian believes completely and literally to what the Bible says, in addition to whatever bias they may have gained from their elders.

then why doesn't this community have a large amount of religious people and small amount of atheistic people if that's the global status?

This community particularity, as well as many other primarily-Atheistic ones, is made up of mostly teens and young adults. I don't mean to disparage anyone in anyway, but many teens who claim to be Atheistic simply aren't or won't remain as such through there life. Many are still in a stage of exploration, where they aren't sure quite what they believe or they are in a stage of rebellion. But on the other hand, many are true to there beliefs (Or lack there of), so there is some semblance of balance. Another reason may be that the internet is the only place Atheists can really go to share what they believe and or develop it. They have no church, no temple, no mosque, nothing. Where else is there to go?
