I'm unemployed as of now, but I do sell goods at a market. So I suppose merchant. :o
1) To search the human mind and decipher reasoning behind emotion, thought, actions, and personality, among other similar aspects of the mind.
2) To an extent, yes. Of course, though, there are always things that are yet to be explained or that yet to remain a constant from person to person. But we still have quite a way to go.
3) No. Once again, to an extent we do know and I'm sure we will know more, but there will always be some oddities within the mind, just as there will be in the universe around us.
4) The greatest psychologist in the world can only take a person as far as they are willing to go. The goal of a psychologist is not to solve somebody's problem, but rather to get them to a point where they can understand why or if it is a problem in the first place and to guide them through the troubling time; They are a third party who are meant to be caring and empathetic, not judgmental and demanding.
5) In some cases, yes. While I believe some matters are better left a mystery, I think there are important matters which we still should explore.
6) Love. True Love, by the definition I work under. To me it is unexplainable in most senses of the word. No matter how many tests or experiments a person may do, that interconnectedness; that togetherness; that being is one that can not and should not be explained.
