Also the story is told in a series of flashbacks, almost. He's sitting in a law office debating with the creators of the one thing in the spoiler and his co-founder and he's explaining the situation and it shows what happens.

The thing that I noticed is, that Eduardo was thinking little cupcake shops, but Sean Parker was thinking big with companies like Target or Wal-Mart. He took the risks that were needed to be taken for Facebook to be made a success.
