Also the story is told in a series of flashbacks, almost. He's sitting in a law office debating with the creators of the one thing in the spoiler and his co-founder and he's explaining the situation and it shows what happens.
Could someone explain more about the "idea" that they were trying to claim copyright on?

*Sigh* ---> These two brothers at Harvard were looking for a way that only students of Harvard could connect with each other on the Internet. The creator of Facebook was creating Facebook behind the scenes of the two brothers, and he had a similar idea, but he kept adding on to it and improving the idea. The brothers eventually found out and took him to court and attempted to sue him for stealing their idea.

The thing that I noticed is, that Eduardo was thinking little cupcake shops, but Sean Parker was thinking big with companies like Target or Wal-Mart. He took the risks that were needed to be taken for Facebook to be made a success.
