Author Topic: crouching and renewable life  (Read 1026 times)

well i was playing COD yesterday and i though to my self "damn, why don't we this stuff in blockland?" what i mean is the hitpoints system from the COD series and the crouching of any fps shooter

"buuut freeeeeed! we have crouching in the game!"
no, that's technically going prone, crouching is going on one knee or squatting.

"couldn't sit be used for that?"
you can't move while sitting and it looks like stuff.

"omg you're so stupid asking for something from COD!"
blockland is a game about legos, is that unoriginal too?

"why don't you make this yourself?"
i suck at scripting.

"why would you ask for that?"
because i feel there is a lack of that feel in bl where we can have an fps shooter dm one minute and then have a free build the next.

i would also like to put out the idea of an ironsight script, working with any weapon that doesn't have the ironsight script already. this happens by moving the camera view or weapon to the center of the player view. this works with weapons that have working ironsights like the L4D weps, but lack the script.

Rykuta
should i ask Rykuta or did Rykuta already make the first two things?

He made a COD mod, particularly with a 'knife' thing and health that begins to regenerate after not being hit for some time.

Regenerating health is the devil.

because we couldn't crouch in real life before fps games, right?

I tried crouching like that once and it made me look handicapped

in real life we can punch ourselves to death, that doesn't mean that we want it in the game. crouching irl is has too many  variables to be considered such as positions and hight, but in an fps shooter the variables are very little. think before you speak you dipstuff
